CURRENT STOCK - CAMPBELL AMERICAN GUITARS

Precix -   Translucent Green   £1149

This comes with a Poplar body in a  nice Translucent green finish which lets the grain of the timber show through nicely. Electrics are Seymour Duncan Phat Cats through a single volume and tone and a three way switch. A lighter guitar than the red one above and coupled with the Phat Cats what we get is brighter tone that is great for bluesy solos as there is plenty of bite. The tone could probably be described as 'bell like' with a smooth, bright top end but enough mid range punch to stop things sounding weak - this guitar really cuts through. As always this is a comfortable easy playing instrument with the wide flat rosewood fingerboard and C shaped neck in the usual Campbell style.

***********SOLD***********Precix - Arctic Blue    £979****************SOLD*********

Another winner from Dean Campbell, this time in solid Arctic Blue with Nickel covered Seymour Duncan humbuckers. This has the standard combination of a JB at the bridge and a Jazz at the neck which can be coil tapped from the tone control giving access to a wide variety of tones from thick sustaining rock to funky rhythms and snappy clean leads. Quite a bright sounding guitar this one, although not necessarily what you would expect from a Poplar body such as this. It bears repeating here just how playable these guitars are; the neck just feels comfortable and string bending on the ebony fingerboard feels nice and easy. A nitrocellulose finished hand made guitar for under £1000 - you need to give this a try.

**********SOLD *****Precix - Amber Sunburst  ******** £955 ******** SOLD

A great liitle guitar this - often the first guitar we pick up to try out a new amp.  A Seymour Duncan JB at the bridge and a  Jazz at the neck - both coil tapped from the Tone control. A very nice nitrocellulose amber sunburst finish and an ebony fingerboard make this a very attractive guitar. The wide flat fingerboard couple with the flattened 'C' profile neck make this a great playing guitar. This guitar is very versatile, equally at home with screaming rock as subtle fingerpicking. The three way selector coupled with the coil tap gives a wide range of tones from deep rock tones to bright, snappy cleans. We highly recommend trying this guitar because it offers such great value for money.

***SOLD***Precix - Translucent Cherry Red    £899 ***Special Price*** SOLD***

This is an ex-demo model, hence reduced price, it is however as good as new.  It comes with a Sapele body finished in the rather nice Translucent Cherry Red finish. Electrics are Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates through the usual volume, tone, 3-way switch and coil tap. This guitar has, as you would expect a dense body, making it fairly heavy, although being fairly small, not too heavy. This density definitely affects the tone here giving us a rich, full tone with significant midrange but enough top end clarity to keep definition. While the coil tap adds some wiry treble to the proceedings there is still the midrange emphasis in the tones. This is a great versatile guitar and one well suited to a rock player who needs good distorted tones but with the added versatility of the thinner, coil tapped sounds.  The wide flat rosewood fingerboard and C profile neck make this an easy playing guitar that just feels comfortable.
