Similar to the Diablo this guitar has a US Swamp Ash body and a 20mm maple cap but in this instance with a tune-o-matic style bridge for increased sustain. The burgundy blackburst finish here is subtle but effective showing off the grain pattern on the 20mm carved flame maple cap. This has a bolt on Ovangkol neck with jumbo frets and an ebony fretboard. This has a Seymour Duncan JB at the bridge and a '59 at the neck with a coil tap on both pickups from the push-pull volume pot. All the hardware is chrome including the locking tuners with the volume and tone controls and the three way selector recessed into the maple cap. This has a good clear bright sound with plenty of depth and the single coil sounds have plenty of twang and bite. These guitars work well for a wide variety of styles but do seem to come alive with some amp distortion and a serious rock attitude.

The Honey Stain finish goes well with the maple neck here giving the instrument a balanced look. The carved 20mm bookmatched maple top and a light US Swamp Ash body give this a bright 'springy' sound. The pickups are Seymour Duncan: A JB humbucker at the bridge, a reversed vintage staggered in the centre and a hot rails at the neck. Both the humbuckers are coil tapped by the push pull volume pot. The neck is a comfortable trademark Framus Ovangkol with a flat ebony fretboard with jumbo frets which in a break with tradition for this type of guitar is a bolt on. The hardware is all chrome plated with Framus locking tuners for stability. Electronics are controlled with a 3 way selector and one volume and one tone for a simple no-nonsense approach. The maple cap and bolt on construction clearly give this guitar plenty of bite but with enough depth for some crunching rock tones. One nice feature on this guitar is that the volume control is perfectly placed for violining - try that on a Les Paul. Comes with padded gigbag.
Take a look through the lovely blue finish and you will see a selected US Swamp Ash body keeping the guitar light with a rounded tone. The neck is the standard Framus Ovangkol with a rosewood fingerboard which has a great profile making it easy to play - the jumbo frets helping string bending. Simple electrics just a volume and tone but nicely positioned so you can 'violin' on a Tele style guitar! Pickups are two Seymour Duncan humbuckers (both can be coil-tapped from the volume control) - a JB at the neck and a 59 at the bridge providing powerful tones but with a certain amount of brightness from the Ash body so we are not in full Les Paul territory. The single coil sounds are very useable with enough twang for country tones or funky rhythms. This is a great versatile guitar with a build quality that belies its price tag. This guitar was bought by us pre price rises and so a new guitar will be significantly more expensive making this a particular bargain!
Framus have created a really interesting guitar here and something a little different from the mainstream. A hollow mahogany body with a 20mm carved bookmatched flame maple top with a single f-hole coupled with gold hardware makes for a beautiful looking guitar. This guitar has a bolt on Ovangkol neck with an ebony fingerboard and jumbo frets topped with Framus locking tuners. Simple electronics comprising a 3 way selector, a single volume and single tone control the Seymour Duncan pickups (JB at the neck and a 59 at the neck). This is superb guitar which plays effortlessly and has a great tone with plenty of clarity but rounded out nicely by the hollow body. This obviously stands out as a great rhythm guitar but is equally capable of great lead tones. Comes with padded gigbag
This came and went almost immediately but we thought we should put up the pictures as it was a superb guitar. The high polish finish on the AAA rosewood top is quite something to see up close (and very hard to photograph without reflections!). The guitar also features a tiger-stripe ebony fingerboard and a flamed maple set neck. The pickups are Seymour Duncans (SH-4 Bridge and SH-2 neck) with volume and tone for each and a three way selector. This guitar is definitely a step up in quality from a standard Framus which is really saying something but there is a great feel to the neck and the way the guitar plays and you get a great range of classic semi-acoustic sounds with perhaps a touch of extra warmth from the rosewood body. Another eye-catching guitar from Framus with a superb Black High Polish finish on the maple top. This is a through neck semi hollow guitar made of maple with a sycamore neck and an ebony fingerboard. What can't be denied here is that this is a heavy guitar but somehow this weight seems to reflect the quality of its construction. The way the neck 'joins' the body is beautifully curved and allows easy acess to all the 24 frets and the top is beautifully carved catching the light from all angles. Two Seymour Duncan '59 pickups have been used here for vintage tone but the construction here lends the humbucker sound incredible clarity and presence. The 6 -way selector switch gives you a wide range of tones: Both humbuckers, neck humbucker, inner coils, bridge humbucker, outer neck and inner bridge coils out of phase and both humbuckers out of phase. All are full rounded, musical and useful settings without any harshness or thinness. The construction of this guitar lends it a loud resonant tone even unplugged and plenty of sustain. If you want a great looking guitar with a versatile range of tones then you must try this. Comes with hard case.

At this price this is a great guitar, the pickups and hardware alone are worth nearly the asking price and you won't find a Chinese guitar with timbers of this quality on offer. A truly stunning instrument and one that firmly establishes Framus as a builder of the highest quality guitars easily able to compete with any American instrument and quite honestly offering better value for money. This guitar has a selected solid spruce top with back and sides of flamed maple. The glued in neck is of flamed maple capped with a tigerstripe ebony fingerboard. The almond sunburst finish is beautifully done and nicely set off by the white celluloid binding.The ebony pickguard conceals the single volume and tone controls. The pickup is an MEC floating humbucker which provides the warm mellow tones you would expect from an instrument such as this. Even if you do not play jazz this is definitely an object of desire with a level of quality that is hard to match at this price. Comes with a high quality hard case.
