Heritage Guitars was incorporated in Michigan in 1985 and is now regarded as one of the premier guitar companies in the world today. Heritage Guitars was set up when the Gibson Guitar Corporation moved its Kalamazoo factory to Nashville.
Some of the original Gibson employees decided to stay in Michigan and form a new guitar company – Heritage. Heritage started operations in the buildings formerly operated by the Gibson Guitar Corporation and were able to draw on an expert group of craftsman and designers to launch the new company. Heritage now carries an international reputation for fine quality custom instruments.
Currently Heritage manufacturers custom carved hollow body guitars, semi-hollow body guitars, and solid body guitars. Often stocked by vintage shops, Heritage guitars are often thought of as the collector’s guitars of tomorrow.
