MANGO AMPS

Mango amps are designed using traditional philosophies and handmade to give the best possible tone in a simple package. There are no push buttons for 'toneshift' or 'voicing' - just tone volume and gain but their basic tone is full, rich and musical so nothing else is needed. These amps allow the natural tone of your guitar through by keeping the signal path simple and pure and respond to the dynamics of your playing and are easily controllable from the guitar's volume control.

These amps are made to the highest standards using hybrid PCB/hand wiring with the best quality components. The Mango Amps are only available in head form to allow maximum versatility. The matching speaker cabs are handbuilt from dovetailed pine and are designed to be compact and light. Don't be put off by the diminutive nature of these amps - they sound huge and you can carry them!

Mango are happy to customise their amps to your personal spec with the valves of your choice and a variety of colour schemes. There are two models in the Mango range:

UNO 10se      Ł895

10 Watts Class A, cathode biased.

Normal and Boost channels with independent inputs and gain controls.

Overall tone and master volume

Switchable 4 or 8 Ohm speaker out

Standard output valve: Groove Tube KT66

Rectifier valve: JJ 5AR4

DUO 18         Ł945

18 Watts Class AB, cathode biased.
Normal and Boost channels with inputs, tone and gain.

Switchable 4,8 or 16 Ohm

Preamp valves:Normal ECC83, Boost EF86

Phase inverter valve: ECC83

Power valves: 2 matched EL84's ElectroHarmonix or JJ

Rectifier valve: EZ81

Speaker Cabinets:
These are high quality speaker cabs made of solid pine, configurable with a wide variety of speakers and coverings. Basic cabs contain Celestion Greenbacks, G12H30 or similar.

Nigel takes a stock Chinese 5W valve amp and carries out some serious mods to make a great little amp with boutique tone! Even better Nigel builds in an attenuator so you can drive the amp hard at bedroom volumes.
