A classic combination of an alder body with a bolt on maple neck and a very attractive Pau ferro fingerboard. The neck joint is very smooth with a taper towards the bottom and four recessed screws making top fret access very easy. The body is slightly smaller than a Strat and overall with the neat 4+2 headstock this is a fairly compact guitar. Finish is understated but flawlessly done and complements the fretboard colour nicely. The hardware is chrome plated Schaller with a 2000 vibrato unit and neat M6 locking tuners. Tuning stability is good with this system, aided by the straight string pull although it should be noted that there is no up bend available. Electrics are three single coil Kinman pickups with a single volume and tone on a five way selector. One of things that first strikes you about this guitar is the neck - a shallow C profile with a satin finish that feels like an old friend and makes playing seem effortless. The neck has 22 small frets on a 25.5" scale length with a 9.5" radius. Soundwise the Kinman's give you classic single coil sounds but with real depth responding really well to an amp just breaking up and having a bit more presence for more intricate parts. Comes with fitted hard case.
