Voodoo Labs pedals are handmade in Northern California and they have built up a great reputation since 1986 with professional, musical and above all useable effects. All pedals are true bypass to maintain your tone when they are switched out and are housed in rugged roadworthy casings with 9v in for use with external power supplies such as the excellent Pedal Power.

MICROVIBE     £149

No prizes for guessing that this is a recreation of the old Univibe effect. Voodoo Labs do not mess about and this includes the old incandescent lamp, photocells and sine wave generator. This is a great warm, rich effect capable of subtle wavering through to full on psychedelic swirling. A very big sounding effect from a small pedal! Depending on your playing style this pedal can go before or after your drive pedal - it pays to experiment.

ANALOG CHORUS         £149

This is a very warm, lush analogue chorus. Simplicity is the key here - just two controls Intensity and Speed both of which have a useful rather than extreme range. At one end of the scale the effect just warms up your sound and adds a tiny bit of depth; at the other it produces a more psychedelic swirl. In between are plenty of sounds that will not disappoint. This pedal is not intended to let you guitar sound through uncoloured so don't expect that kind of digital clarity, but the sound you do get is worth having! However with the true bypass when this is switched out your tone is totally uncoloured unlike some other pedals out there.

PROCTAVIA     £110

Intended to recreate the sound of the Tycobrahe Octavia using the same transistors, germanium diodes and transformer coupled output stage as the original. And we have to say that this sounds the business to us - you do have to tweak the pedal to hit the sweet spots  but then that goes for any Octavia style pedal and that experimentation pays off with plenty of classic sounds on tap. Definitely best used in conjunction with a good fuzz or drive pedal and for the most pronounced effect on the neck pickup. An octave pedal can really add something to a solo and is well worth trying but do give yourself a bit of time to experiment to get the best out of it.

SPARKLE DRIVE    £110

Intended to give you that vintage '808 sound but with the ability to mix in the clean signal to maintain clarity and bite. Whilst the drive will obviously compress your sound, by mixing  in some clean tone you will get back some attack and feel. If you wind the clean mix right up you end up with a transparent boost, turn it right down and you have that classic drive tone. This pedal gives a great range of classic drive sounds with an added twist - well worth checking out.

SUPER FUZZ        £110

You can't argue with Voodoo Labs description of this:  A 1968 Jordan Bosstone Fuzz with added Tone and Resonance controls.  With this pedal you can get a lot more than just vintage style sounds, the range of the controls allows a lot more. The sounds can vary from a high gain scooped tone to a mid focused blues drive and the Resonance control can add some aggressive bottom end (apparently through sub harmonic boosting). This is not the 'fuzziest' of pedals but perhaps best described as one of the most natural sounding fuzz pedals around - it doesn't seem to swamp your original tone, which can't be bad and it is more versatile than most with some great milder sounds as well as the more full on.

TREMOLO        £110

A nice, rich sounding effect with a good range of controls - the slope effect adding versatility from the smooth to the complete stuttering sounds. The speed and intensity controls give everything from slow gentle pulses to more extreme warbling. If you want to add some vintage style tremolo to your amp then you should give this pedal a try.

AMP SELECTOR       £199

There are some great single channel amps out there on the market, but if you want more than one sound you need to take two amps out on the road. This is where something like the amp selector comes in. The Voodoo Labs Amp Selector will switch between up to 4 amps each with its own volume control to get the best balance. Unlike many products out there this won't affect your tone or introduce any hum - each output has a ground lift on a DIP switch. The unit can be set up to switch between amps or to have multiple amps running together. It has two inputs and a buffered tuner out which could also be used to drive additional devices. It goes without saying that this has silent switching. Built like a tank it does its job with the minimum of fuss - one less thing to worry about.

PEDAL POWER 2 PLUS          £149

The Pedal Power Plus 2 is one of the best power supplies on the market with 8 separate isolated outputs to avoid any ground loop problems, two of which have variable outputs (4-9V) to create the effect of worn batteries which can improve the tone on some older overdrive and distortion pedals. This can supply even some of the more power hungry Boss and Line 6 pedals. With this on your pedalboard, it is one less thing to worry about.
